Meet Our Team

Meet Michael Marohn, Owner

As a retired law enforcement officer in Michigan, Michael has 25 years of service in the community safeguarding and caring for others. Years of serving and protecting the public facilitated the development of a robust work ethic, strong moral character, and compassion for others. During his career as a Deputy Sheriff, he received many commendations for his work and gratitude from the citizens he served.

Here is an excerpt from one of the many letters he received: My mother passed away after a long battle with cancer. Words cannot express how much I appreciate how professional and respectful Deputy Marohn was to me and my family.

Michael’s passion for helping others in need is what led him to the home care industry and fostered the desire to open his own agency. His leadership role in his community helped him to recognize the need for quality in-home care. He also has firsthand experience with the needs of the senior population as his mother, prior to her passing, needed in-home care for several years. Now, Michael is focusing his passion and desire to assist and support others in the private sector, where he knows he will be fully rewarded by serving the seniors of Oakland County. Michael’s faith in God led him into this new adventure, where he plans to continue serving the communities he protected. Michael’s top priority is to ensure the happiness of his clients and their families by providing the care that will allow seniors to age in the comfort of their homes.

Meet Kimberly Cooper, Human Resource Coordinator

Kimberly Cooper has been with Homewell Care Services since February 2018. Kimberly has personal experience in the industry, which began when her grandmother was diagnosed with frontal lobe dementia. Kimberly became her grandmother’s live-in caregiver until she passed away. This led to Kimberly’s desire to obtain a career in the health care industry where she has remained for over 20 years. She has 10 years’ experience as a caregiver. Kimberly has also fulfilled the role as a business office coordinator and a memory care coordinator in an assisted living facility. Kimberly has experience in providing direct care to seniors, onboarding caregivers, training caregivers, supervising and staff scheduling. Kimberly has great compassion for seniors and an understanding of their needs. In her spare time, Kimberly enjoys bowling and spending time with her granddaughter.

Meet Kristal Stemplewski, Staffing Coordinator

Kristal Stemplewski joins our HomeWell team with a lot of valuable experience. She entered the health care field after her grandmother moved into an assisted living facility. Inspired by the facility’s staff, she joined their team as a caregiver in 2008. Having a passion for her clients and the drive to advance her career, she became a Certified Med. Tech. where she performed wound care, checked vitals, administered medication, and worked with hospice clients. By 2012 she transitioned from her role as Med. Tech. to a Scheduling Coordinator with the same company where she was responsible for caregiver hiring, training, and scheduling. Kristal’s passion for the industry and her clients has been her motivation for continuing to grow in her profession. She has attended many workshops and has earned several healthcare credits that allows her to work as a Phlebotomist and Medical Assistant for an Endocrinologist, as well as Hospice Care. In 2017 she entered the Home Health field working with Veterans and seniors. She quickly realized the importance of aging at home while still receiving quality care and support. In her free-time Kristal enjoys being with her family, reading, cooking, music, and nature hikes. She joins our team with compassion and industry knowledge that our clients and their families can trust.

HomeWell assigns each client a dedicated Care Manager whose sole purpose is to ensure the highest level of customized in-home care to meet your needs and your budget. Your Care Manager will initiate a comprehensive needs assessment and create a personalized plan regarding:

Once a plan is in place, your Care Manager will monitor daily care logs and maintain regular contact with everyone involved to ensure each client’s physical and emotional wellbeing. And because life can be unpredictable, your Care Manager can also recommend or make adjustments to your care plan at any time, as needed.

As a home care agency founded by a caregiver, we put the utmost importance on providing at-home caregivers who are knowledgeable, kind, patient and trustworthy. We understand the complexities of the aging process and other home health variables that can affect the physical and emotional demands of each specific case. Our Care Managers strive to select the caregivers who best suit each client’s personality and specific care needs. And because we put a high priority on both safety and quality, all HomeWell caregivers are fully screened, pass a stringent national identity and background check, have excellent references, and undergo comprehensive competency testing.
